We are still here!

Well I know that I have been slacking in the world of blogging, sorry!! We have been really busy, Casey has been studying for tests and I have been working and taking care of the little monster... She is starting to pull herself up on everything, walking around all the furniture, and has even found out that there is water in the toilet. We have been shutting the lid thinking that she can't lift it up, boy were we wrong! Abby now can hold it up with one hand and throw her blocks in for a swim. She thinks that they need to be in there, the door is now going to be shut! I will try and post some pictures in the next couple of days.

Summer Fun

These are the last pictures from this summer that I took. I can't believe it is already gone and that Casey is back in school. Abby sure is growing up quick. She is now crawling around everywhere and pulling herself up on everything and getting into everything. It sure makes watching her a real workout. I miss the days when she would just lay there and smile. Now she always wants to go somewhere else or do something new. Work is still going about the same as always. I like what I do but I miss Abby during the days I am gone. It makes it harder too, cause Casey is so busy with his studies that he doesn't have a lot of time to hang out with us anymore. I really miss the summer already. It was nice to be able to spend time together. But I'm glad that another school year is started and that there are only 2 more to go. The sooner he gets done, the better. It'll just be nice to not have him having to study every night and for me to be able to stay at home and watch Abby and the other future children-No we're not expecting-and be able to move on with our lives instead of still being in school. Anyways, here are the pics.

Life in the last 2 months

Well, I'm finally getting another post done. It only took 2 and a half months but here it is. We take so many pictures that I couldn't fit them all in a blog so I decided to make scrapbook pages out of them. Casey was able to find me a free program online that would do what I wanted and I've been making new ones every night for the past few days. It took me some time to figure out how to make them turn out right, but I think I've gotten it down. Eventually I plan on printing them out and putting them in a book for Abby. For now, I'll just post them on the blog.

Here's Abby and me at the 4th of July parade with Kristi and Olivia. They are growing up so fast.

She's not crawling yet, but I think she's getting close. She'll hold herself up and rock and then lunge for stuff and fall down. She gets around pretty good just spinning around on the floor and rolling around. I'm sure she'll just surprise us one day soon and start going.

We thought these came out cute. For those who don't know, Casey is a huge Cubs fan.

We've had a lot of fun this summer. A few weeks back we went up to Challis with my family and went to the hot springs and we found out that Abby just loves the water. She stayed in the pool with Casey for about a half hour. She likes to kick and splash and doesn't mind getting her face wet. So we bought her one of those little inflatable pools when we got home and she has had a blast.

We have had quite a few picnics this summer.

This is the one that Casey made. When we were in Bear Lake a few weeks back, Abby and Riley had a bath. It was really cute to watch them splash around together in the tub. Riley was tired though and was ready to get out after a few minutes.

Slacking

So, I have no real excuse as to why I haven't posted anything recently! But, I have promised myself and Shawna at work that I will do it tonight! I have recently started digital scrapbooking and I am ready to show off my work! So, stay tuned!

5 Months Old

Well Abby is now officially 5 months old (yesterday). She comes in weighing 20 lbs and is 25 inches long. She is now in 9 months clothes, we call her our little chunky monkey. She now rolls over both ways and does a pretty good job of sitting up on her own. Just in the last couple weeks she has changed so much. So, we've got a bunch of new pics to show off. I like to take lots of them. Casey teases me sometimes, but I tell him at least Abby's growing up years will be well documented.

These two pics are of Abby in the walker that Casey and Kristi are letting us borrow since Olivia doesn't really care for it. So far, Abby seems to think it is great. She likes to play with all the little toys on it and tries to eat them. She tries to eat darn near everything right now because she's in the beginning of the teething stage. That makes things much more "fun" for us cause now we have to pay attention to everything that we leave around her.

She is such a happy child!

These two are some pictures that Casey took while she was taking a nap last week while I was at work. He said she just grabbed my blanket(yes I still have my baby blanket) and just snuggled up to it. He said she was all wrapped up in it. They were getting ready to come get me and he needed to go wake her up. He said when he turned on the lights to try to get her up she just kept pulling the blanket up over her head. She doesn't like to wake up any earlier than she has to. Just like her mom.

We thought it was pretty darn cute.

Here is a picture of her in the tub that I took while we were at my Grandma's house over easter. She just loved taking a bath. At our house we just have a stand up shower so she doesn't get the opportunity to play and splash in the water. She just kept laughing and splashing and we thought this was the cutest picture of the group. We would show a picture of her in her easter dress, but it is on my mom's camera and we haven't had a chance to get it from her yet.

Casey and Casey were at the park practicing softball and it got cold so Kristi and I took the girls home to play. This is a cute picture we took of Abby with Olivia(I guess you could say this was Abby's first play date). I think they'll be friends.

This was our first attempt at eating solid food. We made up some rice cereal and tried to get her to eat it, but as you can see most didn't make it down. We're working on it a little at a time. She was happy to take the picture tho.

This is what she does to herself when we set her on the floor with her toys. She just grabs them all and puts them on her face. Then she gets mad because she can't see, but looks so happy when you come over and move them off her face

Peek a Boo I see you mom.

We try to give her as much "tummy time" as we can so she'll learn to hold herself up good and eventually start to crawl. Sometimes tho, when she gets too close to things she goes all cross-eyed. I think that's one of the many reasons she doesn't like sitting on her tummy. Now that she can roll over on her own, it makes it tougher to get her to stay like that.

Here's a cute pic of me and Abby playing Casey in MarioKart. She wasn't much help, but she liked playing with the controller.

Abby is 3 months old. Holy crap!

It has been a while since we updated our blog and Abby has gotten so big and we've taken so many cute pictures, I figured it was time to post a new entry.

I am cute!

Ok, I was bored and eating Cheerios and decided I would see if she likes them. She just sat there and stuck her tongue on it. It was funny.

Tosh and Abby snuggled up to each other in Abby's pack n play.

Tosh, our gimpy old dog likes to sniff and play with abby. One day she sniffed too close and Abby popped her in the nose. We thought it was an accident until our other dog Miley started sniffing Abby up close and got popped in the nose as well and ran off wimpering. Grandpas Dean and Clint would approve. Now that Tosh knows to keep her distance, they are buddies.

Abby in her Valentine's Day dress. It fit a little snug and was a little too short. She's growing up too quick.

She tried to kiss the camera in when I was trying to take this picture and it came out really cute.

I think these headbands and flowers are cute. Casey, not so much. He says she's a baby not a flower and looks cute without all these little accessories. I don't care tho, I like 'em. He says whatever you want to do. I think if it was up to him she'd be dressed like a pioneer baby. He's already talked about using washable diapers so we don't have to keep buying them.

Another cute flower picture. Ain't I cute mom.

Abby likes to be read to, but she is usually more interested in watching movies (Cars is one of her favorites). I guess she takes after her dad(who owns hundreds of movies).

Abby's baby blessing

On Sunday (Feb 1) we blessed Abby in church. She looked so cute and was such a good girl. She was a little late coming to church and her dad was starting to get a little nervous because she spit up on her dress a little and I had to clean it up before we could come. I was riding with my mom because her and Connor were running a little behind too. Casey, who had to come earlier do do some stuff for his calling, was worried we weren't gonna make it on time, but we made it with a minute or two to spare thanks to Grandma Karalee's rocket ship driving. Everything went really well and we got to visit with a few of our family and friends(we have such a small apartment, there wasn't room for everybody so we just had immediate family there with a couple friends) for a while after church until the Super Bowl started. The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of Casey's favorite teams and he had to get ready to watch the game. He was supposed to do some studying for a test during the game, but that didn't work out so well-He still Aced the test tho. I'm glad they won because he can be a bear when his team loses. Here are some of the pictures we took of little Abby in her dress, which her Great Grandma Sheryll got for her down in Arizona while they're on vacation and sent to us. It wasn't meant as a blessing dress, but it was so stinking cute we decided we wanted to use it.

Great Grandma Sheryll also made these really cute bracelets that matched the dress perfectly. Kristi and I went shopping and found the perfect bow to match the dress. It was on a display, but the nice lady sold it to me anyway and it was only a dollar.

This picture came out really cute. She had to cry herself to sleep before she let me take some like this.

This picture shows off just how cute the little dress is.

She looks so peaceful in this picture.

Here is one of the ones that came out good while she was awake. She is such a cute little baby.

Here is a cute one of Abby and her cousin Riley.

Just Some Way Cute Pictures!!

Abby's first bath!!! She loved sitting up, but when you laid her down she would start to cry.. She was still a good sport.

Taking a nap. One sock had come off and she was a little cold, but I could not help take a few pictures before I covered her up.

Abby's uncle Lukas got this for her at the Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. He wanted to make sure that she had something cow girlish. He knew that Casey wouldn't get her anything like that.

I love gummy worms! Casey decided that she needed to try her first candy on his watch.

First Week of Abby's Life

We just got around to putting together one of these blog things so we can keep up with everybody. I know we're kind of late but now that we have a new baby, we actually have something to blog about. We'll just start by talking about her.

Abby Nichole was born on Monday, November 24th at 7:30am at Portneuf Medical Center. She was greeted by her dad, mom, and a big medical staff. She had to be delivered by a c-section because the little girl was breech. But, because of that, she came out with a very cute round head.

Casey's sister Kym and her little boy Riley came the day Abby was born.. This is a way cute picture of the two of them!

We took this pic on our way to Abby's first Thanksgiving. We went to my Aunt Alice's house in Pocatello where her Grandma and Grandpa Andersen were waiting for her.. Along with her Aunt Connor, great grandparents, and cousins.
